Hao Ding has two drives: finding reasons and making things work. He came across laser- plasma accelerators (LPAs) during his masters' study and has since been fascinated by the wide range of potential applications of this novel technology. Currently, he is leading the development of a compact MeV-level LPA driven by kHz few-fs few-mJ pulses at the BELLA center.
