Chemical Sciences Division faculty scientist Naomi Ginsberg has received a 2026 National Brown Investigator Award from Caltech’s Brown Institute for Basic Sciences. The award recognizes mid-career researchers pursuing bold, curiosity-driven work in the physical sciences and provides up to $2 million over five years.
Ginsberg was selected for her research on tracking and directing the assembly of complex functional materials. By monitoring material formation in real time and adaptively steering the process as it unfolds, her team aims to better control how materials develop and optimize their properties.
